The Missing Piece (Video)

By

Want to know what gets me all riled up and wanting to take action?

Watch this video and see what I stand for!

This video was inspired by the comments of my last blog post- What Do You Stand For?

While I was reading the comments I got a loud flash of inspiration that said- SELF-ACCEPTANCE!!!

It was the Universe saying- YOU have permission to be YOU.

I bet the Universe will tell you the same thing if you let it.

Imagine what your day would be like if you loved and accepted yourself?

What would be different for you?

What would be possible?

Leah,
This is almost uncanny. As I was posting my Who Am I? post I realized that asking the question “what really, really infuriates me?” but hadn’t connected THAT question with the “what do I stand for” question yet. I didn’t want to just go on a rant about what pisses me off, lol, so I left that part out for another post.

Now that I’ve seen this, I’ve connected the “what I stand for” part with the “what gets me riled up” part… and low and behold… a post is coming together in my mind already! It’s such a relief to have these dots connected that even my inflamed & infected tooth just let up a little on the searing pain in my poor, poor face tonight ;)

Thanks for helping me bridge those two questions AND for helping my tooth feel better! Keep Rockin’, beautiful sister <3

Ok, so you are just that hot and amazing Leah Shapiro, princess of Power! I love watching you unfold and expand into more of your wild and juicy self- YOU have definitely been a huge inspiration as well as a kick ass life coach to me~! and for that I am forever grateful!
I, too, love the feeling of lightness that comes over me when I mindfully give myself permission to BE Beth Sawyer Umba thru and thru with all my quirky, freaky deaky-ness about me!
Keep on rockin’ sister…You will reach so many other ready to fly their freak flaggers just by being you!
With great BIG freaky love and appreciation for you!

How apropos!

Given our recent email volley – I love this! You’re preachin’ to the choir, but a great vid, nonetheless!

I’ve always thought that self acceptance is actually the largest hurdle for folk to get past. As you illustrate so deftly, there is soooo much that we carry forward that we were “taught”, and ends up to be utter BS.

If everything I “learned” that was “true” about men and how they “work” were true, the past 30 years spent slaving on an accidental job wouldn’t have ended up with me in a fresh op of selling nail polish for a company that has a couple of lines targeted for men

I’d try and fill in the URL thingy and get some commentary and input, but my wee blog is still in the “training wheel” stage and needs a couple of more coats of wax and a final buffing out.

Flyin’ the flag early and often! – Kirk

Rock on Kirk!

You are so right when you say- “there is soooo much that we carry forward that we were “taught”, and ends up to be utter BS.”

Keep releasing the shit and opening up to who you really are, my brother!

Thanks Leah!

Hard at it every moment I can muster! Turning out to be quite the ride and I’m lovin’ it!

Leah…this blog of yours really connected with me. What riles me up: stigma in society toward persons dealing with obesity and/or addiction. I include people who have or had Eating Disorders, Bariatric Surgery, and Mental Health issues in there as stigmatized. I am a Registered Dietitian and Addiction Specialist with a background in rock radio…I do not fit in to any of those fields easily. I realize now, I really don’t want to. :) I included the link to my first article below…it’s the first thing I *LOVED* doing since becoming an RD. I will be in touch soon. I think I can benefit from your 1:1 coaching. Thank you for this blog.

Love it! Congrats. More videos, please!

And absolutely. It’s so important for us to love ourselves and be loyal to ourselves first and foremost. We often lose sight of that.
